Podcasting

Podcasting is the process of creating a video or audio file and uploading it online, so that it can be downloaded via web syndication.

Most other multimedia files can be accessed by simply downloading or streaming, distribution of the files by syndication distinguishes podcasting from other methods.

The person who creates the content is called the podcaster and the podcast can either refer to the content or method of distribution.
